FastHugs

This reflects my journey following a serious car accident in March 2014 in Naples, FL. that turned our lives 180*. There has been a long rehab which can be reviewed at CarePages, FastHugs. I am a wife of 40+ years, a mom of two fantastic sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and the world's most loveable granddaughter. I have three favorite sisters, a dear sister-in-law, a mom, fine brother-in-laws, and a strong extended family. I spent decades as an educator. I had classroom experience K-adult, focused mainly on language arts (reading, writing), and ended as a Superintendent in an amazing school district. I developed a research-based spelling program and completed my doctoral dissertation which demonstrated that it is more effective at teaching spelling than traditional programs. Students with IEPs close the gap on general ed. students. For fun, we sailed in Lake Michigan and then in The Chesapeake Bay. I've been told I never get ruffled and take every challenge full-on. So far, through this disability, I have learned more patience and to watch for my blessings.
